Venus Flytrap ‘B52’ is in a class of its own. Venus flytrap ‘B52’ grows massive, bright red traps with unusually long teeth. These Dionaea Muscipula are vigorous growers, and produce a large number of traps. There is very high demand for these plants, so snap them up while you can! When an insect comes in contact with the tiny trigger-hairs inside of the Venus flytrap B52’s mouth, the trap will shut in a fraction of a second. The insect will then be digested by the Venus flytrap over several days. Venus flytrap ‘B52s’ are temperate perennials, which means they require a Winter dormancy. During this time, your Venus flytrap’s growth will slow or cease completely and the plant may appear to be completely dead.

Your B52 Dionaea Muscipula adult plant kit will be shipped in a generous moss plug. Included in this kit is our 3″ professional grower’s-grade porous plastic pot and enough top-quality long-fiber moss to completely fill it. I ordered one large B52 and I received 2 medium-sized and one extremely small-sized plant. Alongside this, a week after planting, the new growth began to die off and the plant does not seem to be doing well. This starkly contrasts all my other Venus flytraps who have been thriving under the same conditions. Customer service has also been rude when I ask for help and take a long time to respond. From Staff: Customer sent us over 25 emails repeatedly and incessantly asking us what he is doing incorrectly after we already provided him with our explanations.

I transitioned to a red blue grow light and turn it on when I wake up and turn it off when its gets dark to simulate actual daytime for my area and stocked up on a few gallons of distilled water. Had a couple leaves and traps go black and fall off but new traps emerged from where I trimmed them back. I waited until they turned completely black and trimmed right above the white parts of the plant that is immediately under the surface layer of the moss.

This is a short note to let you know the plants arrived fine (on schedule) and look great! Thank you, especially that each had a double crown (B52 has some more smaller ones too). It seemed like a lot of moss, but I wet it all figuring you knew your material better, and happy I did, for the extra pots.

I just received my B52 Fly Trap. I followed instructions to plant it. I have taken some photos to show it. Is this normal for for plant to droop? Also, is this the correct water level? Please see attached photos. You have the best quality and service I have seen. Joel answered all of my questions/concerns in a very timely fashion. Thank you Joe P From Staff: The droop is normal, as the plant has spent a few days in transit and has freshly emerged from dormancy. It will grow robustly in the coming weeks as we enter spring. You'll want to reduce your water level to about half of what you have the plant in now.

Hello, I purchased one of the 1x Large Adult Plant: Giant Venus Flytrap "B52" Dionaea Muscipula Cultivar for my grandson in Oct. of 2021. It was dormant for a time but not completely as we live in Florida. Do I need to repot this at some point? If so, would you mind telling me what type of pot and soil I should purchase? We only water with distilled water changing to fresh water once a month so we think it is doing well so far. Thank you for your time! From Staff: Yes, I would repot the plant at some point. It looks like your specimen is sprouting multiple growth points and is doing well for you!

My order for a B52 VFT arrived! I’m very excited! The VFT was professionally packaged with everything needed (except the water 😆 ), including instructions on planting, watering and feeding. Very easy to follow. The VFT is now in its new home, sitting on a window sill, looking healthy and happy. I’m a middle school science teacher, and if all goes well with this guy, I am going to buy more carnivorous plants for the classroom – the students think these plants are awesome!

Beautiful plant that arrived a little more than two weeks after ordering. As previous reviews have stated, directions for potting are excellent, and the Flytrap is very well protected during shipping. Seller is very prompt with responses to questions. Plant comes with a detailed care sheet and FAQs sheet. We have this one nestled within my wife's orchid collection in a west window, so lots of sun. Very, very pleased with this order - even came with a complimentary fly (see photo)!

I was very impressed with the quality of the fly trap when it arrived. It was very green and had many traps. The instructions were very clear on how to set it up and my son watched the easy to follow to videos online. My son found a small worm outside and the plant gobbled it right up! He fed it another worm about a week later. One of the traps has turned black, but I was expecting that since that was also in the included instructions. Customer service even followed up a few weeks after the purchase just to make sure everything was going okay. I would not buy a carnivorous plant from anyone else! Great quality plants and excellent customer service!

I bought mine well over a year ago. They are so healthy and beautiful, it's amazing. I keep them outside for 3 seasons and bring them inside for the Winter (I'm in CT). They have become so big and vibrant and happy, I can't say enough how pleased I am with them. People really get a kick out of them. All I do is make sure they are topped off with the proper amount of water (I like to uses rain water or distilled water) and keep them where they get a good amount of sun. They catch more flies than they know what to do with. Also it's cool to see them flower and grow through the different seasonal changes. VenusFlytrap.com is awesome and very helpful. Fun stuff.
